When we are surrounded by people we create our self image as a reaction from anything that surrounds us. That way our perception of the world is conceived only through interaction.
As in the city for instance, this constant comparison that is done automatically and unconsciously has a great part om the establishment of how we perceive ourselves, of our actions and our thought process.
Going back to Nature, embracing the need of aloofness for some time is very crucial for bringing us back to “balance” / “proportions”.
If I am 52 years old but I feel much younger as If I am 35 years old, the fact that on my day-to-day life I am constantly “reminded” of my “old” age I therefore reminded of a fiction’s self-image of what is perceived as 52.
However, when I am alone, and especially in Nature where there is no comparison whatsoever, I am still the same kid as if 45 years never passed.
Going back to Nature revives the child in us – that is the spirit. If the “Child” dies or slumbers cause we had forgotten him by constantly dealing with comparison, then the spirit “dies” – forgotten.
People who had never forgotten Nature and knew to be alone for some time, were in the path of fully realizing their spirit potential. The spirit was constantly nourished and not forgotten. They continued to evolve, they re-created Evolution with their passion.
